and why would the genius of Archimedes
be allowed heartless, mindless slaughter
by a mere Roman soldier?

his palimpsests were not his documents being recycled –
they were his truths being erased by religious/racist ill-will
true progress, respect, and education
does not lead to secrecy and desecration

myth, mysteries, and lies
always used to pull wool over our eyes

it is
our current fate
that we are truly being ruled
by a planet of apes
