“Religion is the organization of spirituality into something that became the handmaiden of conquerors. Nearly all religions were brought to people and imposed on people by conquerors and used as the framework to control their minds . . .
. . . And when you accept a picture of the deity assigned to you by another people, you become the spiritual prisoners of that other people.”
-John Henrik Clarke (A Great and Mighty Walk)
“Learning history is an ongoing and somewhat demanding relationship, requiring unconditional love and dedication. In a society that honors everything temporary and disposable – from diapers to sexual partners – the kind of commitment that history demands is not all that attractive.”
-inga muscio (“autobiography of a blue-eyed devil”)
“At its very, very, very best, U.S. history is an unimaginative and superficial saga, with a beginning, middle, and end, as told by the victors of history’s present telling.”
-inga muscio (“autobiography of a blue-eyed devil”)
“. . . How does the history of controlled movement manifest in your life today, and how do members of your family and community deal with this?”
-inga muscio (“autobiography of a blue-eyed devil”)
it may be in a small whirlwind
of blowing leaves
or the coolness felt
by a random breeze –
these are the ways
Earth Mother speaks –
simplistic insights
of eternal complexities
oh humble cartographer
of cosmic signs
continue to joyfully gaze
upon mystic blueprints and infinite designs
each breath
is a teachable moment
each death
is a collective life-imprint
only cowards
and innocent children
are led blindly
by brutal and oppressive systems
womb-men, men
stand for your life’s meaning
stand for your wisdom
stand for your knowledge and being
remember, tribal supremacy
is a company, an industry
propped up on the profitability
of everyone else’s misery
stop paying, praying,
and playing into the hands
of doom-makers who greedily consume
all wealth, resources, and lands
no one can ever be free
or happy
under the constant burdens
of fear and poverty
map your way
out of this heathen cave
venture into the night of your mind
to discover an ever radiant new day

“There will come a time when our silence will be more powerful than the voices you strangle today!”

the greatest
manifestation
of any free nation
is found in its
institutions of wisdom:
the free library system –
the only system
i truly believe in
and any nation
that fears its own
creative information
lives in fear of its own shadow
and self-identification
follow the library
that protects the stories
of the greatest struggles
of all humanity

Library Spies in Maryland (Library Awareness Program) 1982-88. i donated a copy of one of my chapbooks to the Enoch Pratt Central Library during this period, never ever saw my book at the library since!
It’s interesting hearing the rants of the fascist right playing
psyops with the word “fascist” when this country has been firmly ruled by fascism and neo-fascism for quite some time. I guess this is the way they gauge the extent of their bullshit from time to time. How often do they encourage people to venture to the library to see what may be buried there?

“The rich man poor man beggar man thief
Everyone claim that them are the chief
The rich man buy the poor man’s life
The poor man take away the beggar man’s wife
Don’t cry my brothers
Don’t cry my sisters
Tears won’t change the situation
It’s just a form a form of reaction . . .”
-Clinton Fearon/The Gladiators (Rich Man Poor Man)
trash on the streets
trash in the trees
evidence of postmodern savages
filling the cities
posers of civility
devolved society
what trickles down
from the rich
is their behavior and attitudes –
sonofabitch –
you serve them –
they don’t serve shit
throw your garbage anywhere
someone else will get it
true representatives
of the nigger-construct
true originals, which is why their side does not claim
obama, barack
everything has moved to the right
and yet nothing is right
Earth Mother pounded into a giant dollar sign
bombarded day and night
never giving you enough time to study or rest
until absolutely nothing is left
they never
truly defeat us
they only find new ways
to ever cleverly cheat us
