Chance/Dance of Discourse

To be a Spirit

“Only money keeps
green, still grows &
burns like grass
under dark daylight”
- Kevin Young
(To Repel Ghosts)

to be a Spirit
is to sacrifice
an acceptable position
in the role
of servant or citizen
refusing
what is destined
as a subject
of oppression
and prisons

for the systems
of those who enslave
will never develop
the overstanding
or the mind
of that which saves -

for the systems
of those who enslave
lay to waste
civilizations
and any Heaven’s gate
murdering countless innocents
hiding behind
so-called governments
to incorporate
all early disciplines
and learning
into attaining
the pure state
of a
phony godly being

to be a Spirit
is to be fearless
of judgement and laws
that build secret societies
and ruthless armies
to enforce and police
what is naturally flawed
giving mere mortals
the status
of idols and lords

to be a Spirit
is to never conform
to any set concepts
of changeless
human constructs
in shaping
higher consciousness
and conduct

to be a Spirit
is to trust
beyond the word,
will, and the Way
of structuralists –
to trust
when there is
no trustworthyness –
to find worth
when one is considered
worthless

to be a Spirit
is to transcend
blackness
and whiteness
in devotion
to uprightness

to be a Spirit
is to see
through the encumbrance
of bodies
through remembrance
of histories
memories
physical and mental disease
to see through
the want
and addictions
to the material field
of wicked realities
which have destroyed abilities
to creatively feel
having established the need
to escape
the sicknesses
that ravage and rape –
to see and know
that all things
must let go

to be a Spirit
is to flow
finding freedom
in what we do not know -
gnostics
in accepting
that the Universe, the Cosmos
infinitely changes
and grows
