are moving entities
entrusted
with the duty
of maintaining a major medium
for other moving entities
bodies of earth elements
with the thrust
of fire and combustion
and at times
careless
and oblivious
with thoughts
of only moving on
we work
the black and white streams
of concrete, asphalt,
and survival dreams
we cut, bridge,
and tunnel
over and through
this worldly vessel
and sometimes
we crash
and get crashed into -
maestros of speed and motion
we are mostly
an invisible channel
though we are crucial
to the met destination
and a safe arrival
transportation technician
of sweat, blood, and vision
your memory holds still
regardless of the ignorant traveler
and the human hoards who kill
