voices of liberation
“the rose is not afraid to blossom
though it knows its petals must fall
and with its petals fall seeds into soil
why toll to contain it all?
why toll at all?”
- Laura Veirs
(Carbon Glacier)
the institutions of formality
have become wicked, corrupt machinery
racists/fascists/corporatists
wearing the faces of democratic capitalists
their commitment is only to making more profits
selling people from the street to the pulpit
with secret armies and dealers of guns
they have embraced Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon
they have protected Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death
they have given demons refuge in the “West”
setting up banana republics
selling-out our name with hit-men and puppets
from Guatemala to South Africa
from Iran to Vietnam
a sinister system that guarantees
the protection of a slaveholder autonomy
by burying the history of my family
to continually feed a psychotic economy
how long can a planet survive
under the mentality
of those who even view other humans
as nothing but throwaways?
we, the People, have a choice
we, the People, have a voice
to fight against an evil rule
to go beyond flags and idols
reestablish a righteous Creation
disregard ties to organizations and nations
a “Western” (de)-education
serves only as “Western” indoctrination
the greedy, the rich, and the yes-men are catapulted
as the intelligence of the working class is steadily insulted
we are used and abused as plutocratic tools
entertained and served the diet of fools
we are manipulated en masse
by brainwashing schools
books and media under the control
of an oligarchic rule
no freedom fighter is free from the terror
of fighting for or against oppressors and transgressors
as bastard sons and daughters have shamed Mother Afrika
perpetually hiding their genocidal errors
sliding and dividing with political flim-flam
as capitalism and communism are both ruling class scams
dead-end systems and sell-out nations
taking and taking and using taxation
those who
create a lower order
are
the lower order
bigots
bombs
barriers
borders
our voices will be heard as we struggle to be free
through insurrection, rebellion, and anarchy
our voices will be heard as we fight for liberation
our voices will be heard as we build a universal nation
a New World and a new age is emerging
an unquestionable harmonic conversion
and in the words of Melvin B. Tolson, who inspired my literary eyes:
“The harder you dash a rubber ball against the ground, the higher it will rise.”
